Topical Cream:

    • Dosage:
      • 1ml/dose: Your physician has prescribed medication for you that will be applied topically. This medication is extremely effective and it should be used just as the label reads. The medication has been placed in applicator syringes with a sealed tip. Before using this medication, wash area well where you are going to apply the medicine. To apply the medicine, gently push up on the syringe plunger until you see the medication move up 1 ml. Example would be that your syringe is filled to 15ml, gently push 1 ml of contents out or until the black line of the plunger reaches 14. Place this cream on your inner wrists. Now rub your two wrists together. The medicine will be absorbed within one hour. You may also rotate the application site to your inner thigh or upper inner arm. Gelatin Troche:

  • Each tray contains 30 troches. If your prescription says to take one troche, remove one of the squares and place it under your tongue. Hold under your tongue until completely dissolved. After it is completely dissolved, don’t eat or drink for 30 minutes as some of the medication is still being absorbed. If your prescription says to take ½ troche, remove one square, carefully cut it in half on the score line and follow the instructions above.

Storage: You may store your troches at room temperature or in the refrigerator, but not above 85 degrees. Do not leave troches in your car as they will melt.

Expiration: Troches are good for 6 months from the time they are made.

Intramuscular Injection:

  • Materials Needed:
    • One alcohol wipe
    • Medication to be injected
    • A new needle and syringe
    • Disposable gloves, if needed
    • Bandage
  • Wash your hands with soap and dry them completely. Put on gloves if necessary.
  • Open the alcohol wipe: Wipe the area where you plan to give the injection. Let the area dry. Do not touch this area until you give the injection.
  • Prepare the needle: Hold the syringe with your writing hand and pull the cover off with your other hand. Place the syringe between your thumb and first finger. Let the barrel of the syringe rest on your second finger.
  • Hold the skin around where you will give the injection: With your free hand, gently press on and pull the skin so that it is slightly tight.
  • Insert the needle into the muscle: Hold the syringe barrel tightly and use your wrist to inject the needle through the skin and into the muscle at a 90 degree angle.
  • Inject the medicine: Push down on the plunger to inject the medicine. Do not force the medicine by pushing hard. Some medicines hurt. You can inject the medicine slowly to reduce the pain.
  • Remove the needle: Once the medicine is injected, remove the needle at the same angle as it went in. Place bandage over the area where you gave the injection.

Moon Troche:

  • You may store your moon troches at room temperature or in the refrigerator, but not above 85 degrees
  • Do not leave troches in your car as they will melt
  • One dose of a moon troche looks like half of a ball or sphere. Make sure there are not two stuck together before taking a dose
  • Place your required dose under your tongue and hold there until it melts.
  • Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after a dose as this will affect the absorption of your medication

Sublingual Drops:

  • Remove the black travel cap
  • Place the blue Adapta-Cap on the bottle. Be careful not to strip the threads
  • Shake well just before using your drops (60 seconds)
  • Hold the bottle firmly and flip the top of the blue Adapta-Cap lid open
  • Place the syringe in the opening of the blue Adapta-Cap. Make sure it is snug
  • Turn the bottle up-side down and don’t squeeze the bottle, but pull back on the white plunger of the syringe slowly. The drops will start going into the syringe while pulling back on the white plunger. Stop at the dose you are required to take. Also make sure there are not air bubbles in the syringe. If there are bubbles, push the white plunger back in and try again more slowly.
  • Pull the syringe off and close the top to the Adapta-Cap
  • Squirt the dose under your tongue and hold it for 60 seconds then swallow
  • Do not drink or eat anything for 30 minutes after taking your dose
  • Rinse the syringe with warm water
  • Do not refrigerate drops
  • Your drops are made of sugar and water for the base and your individualized dose of hormones

Rapid Dissolve Tablet:

  • Store at room temperature
  • Take out cotton from top of bottle
  • Pour one RDT into hand
  • Place tablet RDT under your tongue and hold there until it dissolves
  • Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after a dose as this will affect the absorption of your medication
  • Replace cotton back inside the bottle

Vaginal Applicators:

  • Wash your hands and remove blue cap from one applicator
  • When you are completely ready to go to bed, lay down on the bed and don’t get up again until at least 1 hour after completing the insertion
  • Hold the applicator with the thumb and middle finger of one hand and insert into your vagina
  • Gently slide the applicator in an upwards and backwards direction
  • Push the plunger to dispense the gel into your vagina, be sure to depress the plunger completely so as to not leave any gel inside the applicator
  • Remove the applicator and discard
  • You may have intercourse either before insertion or wait at least 1 hour after

Vaginal Cream:

  • Remove cap from tube.
  • Do not separate plunger from applicator.
  • Screw threaded end of applicator onto the opened tube until secure.
  • Position upright in order to view the calibrated gram amounts.
  • Gently squeeze tube from the bottom to expel the prescribed amount of vaginal cream into the applicator. As cream is squeezed out, plunger will rise to indicate amount of grams.
  • Unscrew applicator from tube.
  • Replace cap onto tube.
  • Lie on back with knees drawn up. To deliver medication, gently insert applicator deeply into the vagina and press plunger downward to its original position.
  • To cleanse applicator: Pull plunger to remove it from barrel. Wash with mild soap and warm water. Do not boil or use hot water.
