Tom Beard, co-owner and pharmacist

Tom Beard, PharmD & Co-Owner, was raised in the state of Georgia, where he attended Emory University and graduated with a degree in Chemistry and Anthropology. He then moved to North Carolina and completed his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at Campbell University School of Pharmacy. After graduating with the highest honors, he practiced Nuclear Pharmacy for three years. In 2003, Tom moved to Chattanooga to join the Solutions Pharmacy Family and was able to help Solutions Pharmacy become a compounding-only pharmacy.

Tom became a co-owner of Solutions Pharmacy in 2005. Tom enjoys working with doctors and patients to find customized medications that meet their needs. In his spare time, he delights in spending time with his supportive and beautiful wife, Bethany, and their cats. Working outside is a satisfying pastime. He also enjoys the occasional times he and his long-time buddy’s meet -up to hike or watch football.

Stephen Wilson, PharmD

Stephen Wilson, PharmD & Pharmacist in charge of Solutions Pharmacy, has been in practice as a pharmacist since 2002 when he graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. Stephen began his career as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at Pulmonaire Pharmacy. He served on the Medical Board at Orange Grove Center and the Advisory Board at Prolex Medical Services. In 2012, Stephen was honored with the Community Leader of the Year Award of Excellence by the Tennessee Community Organizations for his work with developmentally disabled individuals in the Tennessee Valley. He then began working at a compounding pharmacy to expand his knowledge base while providing patient care. Stephen joined the Solutions Pharmacy team in December 2019 and became our PIC in 2021.

Stephen is a native of Cleveland, TN, and currently lives in Apison with his loving wife Piper, son Cooper, and daughter Caroline. In his free time, he enjoys working in the yard and maintaining the family pool. He is a member and regularly attends Silverdale Baptist Church. He enjoys watching college football, especially when the Tennessee Vols are playing. Spending time with his family is his greatest pleasure. Though they enjoy vacations, he is humbly grateful for every moment they share together.

Bonnie Guhne, DPh

Bonnie Guhne, DPh RPh, grew up on the Canadian Prairies. She graduated with honors from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Pharmacy in 1997. She practiced retail pharmacy for three years before moving to Chattanooga, TN, to take on the challenges of compounding at Solutions Pharmacy. After more than 2 decades at Solutions Pharmacy, she still finds her work exciting and continues to experience new challenges in compounding. In her free time, Bonnie loves to spend time with her husband, Steve, and her two daughters, Haley and Kayla. They often enjoy the atmosphere of downtown Chattanooga, shopping, eating at great restaurants, and in any downtime, she loves to read.

April Heitmeier, PharmD

April Heitmeier, PharmD, has been in practice as a pharmacist for 4 years. She graduated from the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy cum laude in 2007. Upon graduation, she began her career as a pharmacist for Kroger Pharmacy. While there, she became certified in immunizations and lipid screening. She administered immunizations and participated in community health fairs by providing lipid screening and counseling in the greater Houston area. In addition to her work as a retail pharmacist, she also gave presentations on psychotropic medications for adoptive and foster parents with McClaugherty Consulting Services. In 2009, she relocated to the Chattanooga area and began working for Solutions Pharmacy as a compounding pharmacist where she still practices today. Personally, she enjoys running, baking, and spending time with her son Hayden and husband Brandon.

April Heitmeier, PharmD

Samuel Richmond, PharmD, is from Kingsport, Tennessee, and completed both his undergraduate studies and pharmacy education at East Tennessee State University, earning his degree from the ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. After graduating in May 2023, he began working immediately as a pharmacist. He joined the Solutions Pharmacy family in 2026 and is expanding his pharmacy knowledge to include the art of compounding medications.

Outside of work, Samuel enjoys traveling with his wife, Kaitlyn Richmond, golfing, and following sports. He and Kaitlyn are both pharmacists who are passionate about serving their communities. Samuel is working in a community pharmacy as a compounding pharmacist, and Kaitlyn is practicing in the hospital setting.

Samuel is very family-oriented and values being close with his two siblings, nieces, and nephews. He and Kaitlyn also have two dogs they love to cuddle up with or take walks outside: Melah, a mini Aussiedoodle, and Winnie, a Bernedoodle.
